The TOR-D-VN model is an enhanced version of the TOR-D ballistic helmet, popular for its side cuts that provide extra convenience when using active headphones and radio headsets.
Purpose: This helmet is designed to protect airborne troops and special forces personnel from injuries and wounds, as well as to accommodate special equipment. It provides head protection from falls, impacts, blasts, small fragments, ricochets, and light firearms.
Protection Standards:
- 1st class of protection according to DSTU 8835:2019;
- protection level IIIA, NIJ 0106.01 standard;
- protection against fragments (FSP = 1.102 g) according to NATO STANAG 2920, with a V50 rating of > 670 m/s.
Additional Features: The helmet dome is made of aramid fabric, ensuring its long-term use in all climatic conditions, including rain. The outer layer has a water-resistant and fire-resistant coating. The external surface is coated with an anti-glare material.
The helmet design includes suspension and cushioning systems that provide passive ventilation of the head. The helmet is compatible with protective masks, tactical and corrective glasses, night vision devices, active headphones, various radio systems, gas masks, and respirators. Helmet sizes can be adjusted using the suspension system and internal damping pads.
Basic kit includes:
- Helmet shell with Velcro panels;
- Universal mounting platform for night vision devices (enhanced model with a metal insert);
- Side rails for communication devices (set of 2);
- Four-point suspension system DISK-2;
- Set of KRONA damping pads;
- Transport bag;
