Glasses protect the eyes from small fragments, dust, dirt, and adverse weather conditions but are not designed to protect against bullets and large fragments. The 2.5 mm thick polycarbonate lenses can withstand impacts from fragmentation simulators with a typical mass of 0.325 g at speeds of at least 215 m/s, tested at a distance of 5 meters from the explosion epicenter, which is located 30 m away. The simulator A3/6723/6 is used according to STANAG 2920.
These glasses also withstand the impact of a steel ball with a diameter of 22 mm weighing 43 g at a speed of 5.1 m/s, as well as the impact of a steel ball with a diameter of 6 mm weighing 0.86 g at a speed of 120+30 m/s, meeting the requirements of STANAG 4296.
Technical Specifications:
The glasses are fire-resistant, protect against ultraviolet radiation and other optical effects. They do not deform after being exposed for 72 hours in temperatures ranging from -51°C to +50°C. Each lens is equipped with a protective layer against fogging and scratches, free from optical distortions.
